The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust today reported on its activities and financial statements for the year ending 30 June 2014.

Appeal Trust announces final grants and celebrates the impact of nearly $100 million to Canterbury

Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trustees today granted $8 million to 20 new local recovery projects and announced that the nearly $100 million donated to the Appeal has been substantively allocated to Canterbury, three years after the first funds were granted.

Appeal Trust commits $15 million to “Connecting the City to the Sea” legacy through eastern Christchurch

The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust today announced its largest-ever grant committing $15 million of Appeal funds towards great community projects that make a positive difference to the future of the eastern suburbs, with access and benefit to everyone who lives in or visits Christchurch.

Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre officially reopens

Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre officially reopens today thanks to $1.1 million from the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust today celebrated the completion of its first substantial recovery project in Kaiapoi, as Prime Minister John Key officially reopened the repaired Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre.

Appeal Trust thanks SKY Television for generous $1 million pledge

The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust today celebrated two milestones as SKY Television announced a generous $1 million pledge to the Appeal, and investigative work commenced in Kaiapoi on the $2 million project to restore the Kaiapoi Riverbanks.

Appeal Trust reports annual progress to 30 June 2012

The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust today reported on its progress and financial statements for the 15 months from establishment to 30 June 2012 and its Trustees remain committed to supporting Canterbury through the different phases of recovery from the earthquakes.

Applications open for 2012 Vodafone Foundation Canterbury Fund

Over a million dollars is now available to Canterbury community groups as the second round of the Vodafone Foundation Canterbury Fund – a joint initiative between the Vodafone Foundation and the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust – opens for applications.

Prime Minister visits Aranui music programme as Vodafone Foundation Canterbury Fund opens for applications

This afternoon, Prime Minister Rt Hon John Key visited a unique seven-week after school music and circus skills programme run by the Muse Community Music Trust, at Wainoni School in Christchurch.  After losing its premises and much equipment in the February 2011 earthquake, the Muse successfully applied for funding from the Vodafone Foundation Canterbury Fund – a $4 million fund jointly established by the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust and the Vodafone Foundation.
